Description

The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager oversees the planning, designing and development of the Software Quality Assurance Methodology for the organization in a multi-platform environment. The QA Manager works closely with other personnel to ensure definition and deployment of a coordinated Testing Methodology is followed. In this position the manager provides quality processes and technical leadership to the Quality Assurance testing team. Establish a strong presence as a change agent deploying innovative and effective Quality Assurance measures that establish the corporate standard and benchmark for all releases. Balance and track staff workload and project scheduling.

Education/Experience:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science is preferred with a minimum of five to seven years related quality experience; or equivalent combination of education or experience preferred. Prior experience in a supervisory or lead role required. High School Diploma or GED required. Software Quality Engineer Certification (CSQE) or Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE) is required.

Skills:

· Experience developing and leading software testing teams as part of key company projects

· Experience managing projects using test automation tools.

· Experience with HP’s QuickTest Pro (QTP) or equivalent

· Experience with performance testing tools, such as HP’s Loadrunner

· Thorough understanding of the Software Quality Assurance Life Cycle with strong QA process skills

· Detailed oriented

· Ability to multi-task

· Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills

· Solid experience with scheduling and monitoring assignments of QA team.

SCOPE

The Client/Server Manager is responsible for the day to day management and operations of clients Open Systems infrastructure, which includes UNIX, Wintel, Storage Area Networks and x86-based virtualization platforms. This position is responsible for working with end users to determine needs, analyzing and forecasting usage, determining capacity requirements, recommending infrastructure solutions, executing performance monitoring and tuning, managing change to technical environments, ensuring adequate and thorough testing, responding to incidents and support requests, designing and implementing corrective and preventative action, using metrics to monitor health of infrastructure components, and building reports to communicate with key stakeholders. This position will further provide management of a team of IT specialists with effective delegation of tasks and support for the career development of team members.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Manages day to day operations of IS Open Systems.

Provides guidance and direction to team members reporting to him/her.

Interfaces with IS and business colleagues on operational issues including technical and operational status.

Provide leadership, anticipates and resolves problems, and ensures inter-group cooperation to meet all operational obligations and objectives.

Ensure complete infrastructure technical documentation.

Make recommendations and implement enhancements for increased uptime, performance and reliability.

Provides strategic direction and recommendations on new technology.

Review infrastructure performance reporting and metrics for stability to support 24×7x365 operations.

Ensure infrastructure technologies are maintained and current.

Participate in ITIL based change management process providing business impact and risk perspective to proposed production changes. Ensure team follows established policies and procedures for internal and external audits.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science plus five to seven years Open/Distributed Systems experience; or equivalent combination of education or experience. Prior experience in a management or supervisory role required.

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

·5+ years’ experience managing operations and/or technology teams.

·Advanced knowledge of Midrange systems concepts and fundamentals.

·Advanced knowledge of application architecture concepts and fundamentals.

·Advanced knowledge of Windows server architectures.

Develops detailed program specifications including design of online screen and/or reports by working with project management and/or end users and receiving instruction and direction.

Formulates project plan by working with project management and outlining steps required to develop project and submits project plan to project management for approval.

Understands current operating procedures by consulting with users and reviewing project objectives.

Completes project assignments in a timely manner by receiving directions and project assignment priority from Project Leader/Manager.

Ensures a timely progression of project completion by coordinating testing activities, including test data and results, with Quality Assurance.

Develops programs that run efficiently and adhere to client standards by minimizing excess overhead in applications and re-using code and coding techniques.

Ensures long term maintainability of the system by documenting project according to client guidelines.

Provides resolutions to problems by taking the initiative to use all resources available for research.

Provides programmer support on a 24-hour basis by participating in the Programmer of the Week (POW) rotation.

Participates in the development of new Programmer/Analysts I by providing guidance and training as needed.

Serves as lead programmer by overseeing assigned project.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED required. A Bachelor’s Degree in computer science preferred; four to seven years related experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The Network Analyst II is accountable for designing, installing, configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting and maintaining all Network infrastructure including related hardware equipment and software to ensure optimal operation of all Networks including Local Area Networks, Storage Area Networks and Wide Area Networks. The Network Analyst II handles assignments of a more complex nature with limited direction/guidance.

Ensures optimal performance of all Networks by proactively conducting ongoing performance monitoring and by tuning/adjusting as necessary.

Provides effective Level II help desk support on a 24/7 basis by researching/analyzing issues/requests to determine Network related implications, effectively communicating with all impacted parties and by troubleshooting and resolving issues with a sense of urgency to minimize any system downtime.

Ensures optimal Network design and set-up by conducting effective new hardware/software installations, hardware/software replacements/upgrades and by performing reconfigurations as needed. Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Ensures Network security integrity by correctly configuring and maintaining Network hardware/software and by monitoring and maintaining security systems (e.g. intrusion detection system, firewalls, etc.).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science preferred plus three to five years of Network related experience; or equivalent combination of education or experience preferred.

REQUIREMENTS

• Extensive knowledge of network hubs, routers, switches, network infrastructure design, protocol and network analyzers, wiring standards, and the TCP/IP protocol.
• The position requires a mature and responsible individual with strong initiative, analytical skills and judgment to independently handle assignments.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco routers, switches and Pix / ASA firewalls, VPN and VOIP. Cisco Nexus administration required.
• Working knowledge of WANs (T1’s, T3’s, MPLS and point-to-point)
• Strong routing skills especially competent on EIGRP and BGP routing protocols.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Design Associate certification (CCDA) preferred. ITIL practice or certification(s) heavily preferred.
• Knowledge of Windows Servers.
• Familiarity with setting up network printers and printing.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability.
• Strong attention to detail skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in teams with a collaborative interpersonal style.
• Good verbal and written communications skills with the ability to effectively document procedures.
• Must be able to work weekends and after business hours as required.
• Possess accurate keyboarding proficiency.
• Must be self-motivated to learn all aspects of networking.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB:

• Ability to sit at a desk for an extended period of time.

• Ability to lift and carry computer equipment (up to 75lbs)
• Must be able to work in a low temperature climate controlled computer room.
• Must be able to travel to metro and outlying locations, as required.

· JavaScript and related web technologies.

· Software architecting experience. Show us some examples of things you’ve built!
