The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager oversees the planning, designing and development of the Software Quality Assurance Methodology for the organization in a multi-platform environment. The QA Manager works closely with other personnel to ensure definition and deployment of a coordinated Testing Methodology is followed. In this position the manager provides quality processes and technical leadership to the Quality Assurance testing team. Establish a strong presence as a change agent deploying innovative and effective Quality Assurance measures that establish the corporate standard and benchmark for all releases. Balance and track staff workload and project scheduling.

Education/Experience:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science is preferred with a minimum of five to seven years related quality experience; or equivalent combination of education or experience preferred. Prior experience in a supervisory or lead role required. High School Diploma or GED required. Software Quality Engineer Certification (CSQE) or Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE) is required.

Skills:

·         Experience developing and leading software testing teams as part of key company projects

·         Experience managing projects using test automation tools.

·         Experience with HP’s QuickTest Pro (QTP) or equivalent

·         Experience with performance testing tools, such as HP’s Loadrunner

·         Thorough understanding of the Software Quality Assurance Life Cycle with strong QA process skills

·         Detailed oriented

·         Ability to multi-task

·         Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills

·         Solid experience with scheduling and monitoring assignments of QA team.

Ensure infrastructure technologies are maintained and current.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Considers all aspects of project such as hardware design, hardware limitations, operating time, format of desired results and any other system constraints by working with project management.

Formulates project plan by working with project management and outlining steps required to develop project and submits project plan to project management for approval.

Ensures a timely progression of project completion by coordinating testing activities, including test data and results, with Quality Assurance.

Develops programs that run efficiently and adhere to client standards by minimizing excess overhead in applications and re-using code and coding techniques.

Ensures long term maintainability of the system by documenting project according to client guidelines.

Provides resolutions to problems by taking the initiative to use all resources available for research.

Provides programmer support on a 24-hour basis by participating in the Programmer of the Week (POW) rotation.

Direct-hire Network Analyst II Opportunity with Great Company in Fort Worth, TX

Description

The Network Analyst II is accountable for designing, installing, configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting and maintaining all Network infrastructure including related hardware equipment and software to ensure optimal operation of all Networks including Local Area Networks, Storage Area Networks and Wide Area Networks. The Network Analyst II handles assignments of a more complex nature with limited direction/guidance.

Ensures optimal performance of all Networks by proactively conducting ongoing performance monitoring and by tuning/adjusting as necessary.

Provides effective Level II help desk support on a 24/7 basis by researching/analyzing issues/requests to determine Network related implications, effectively communicating with all impacted parties and by troubleshooting and resolving issues with a sense of urgency to minimize any system downtime.

Ensures optimal Network design and set-up by conducting effective new hardware/software installations, hardware/software replacements/upgrades and by performing reconfigurations as needed. Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Ensures Network security integrity by correctly configuring and maintaining Network hardware/software and by monitoring and maintaining security systems (e.g. intrusion detection system, firewalls, etc.).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science preferred plus three to five years of Network related experience; or equivalent combination of education or experience preferred.

REQUIREMENTS

• Extensive knowledge of network hubs, routers, switches, network infrastructure design, protocol and network analyzers, wiring standards, and the TCP/IP protocol.
• The position requires a mature and responsible individual with strong initiative, analytical skills and judgment to independently handle assignments.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco routers, switches and Pix / ASA firewalls, VPN and VOIP. Cisco Nexus administration required.
• Working knowledge of WANs (T1’s, T3’s, MPLS and point-to-point)
• Strong routing skills especially competent on EIGRP and BGP routing protocols.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Design Associate certification (CCDA) preferred. ITIL practice or certification(s) heavily preferred.
• Knowledge of Windows Servers.
• Familiarity with setting up network printers and printing.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability.
• Strong attention to detail skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in teams with a collaborative interpersonal style.
• Good verbal and written communications skills with the ability to effectively document procedures.
• Must be able to work weekends and after business hours as required.
• Possess accurate keyboarding proficiency.
• Must be self-motivated to learn all aspects of networking.
• Energetic and eager to learn.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB:

• Ability to sit at a desk for an extended period of time.
• Ability to look at and work on CRT for an extended period of time.
• Ability to lift and carry computer equipment (up to 75lbs)
• Must be able to work in a low temperature climate controlled computer room.
• Must be able to travel to metro and outlying locations, as required.

Key Skills

·    Previous rock star programming skills. We’re talking 4 to 6 years, roughly, in the .NET world using C#.

·    Building apps for the web. We focus on our website code, but we also have some in house windows applications. Be comfortable with both!

·    JavaScript and related web technologies.

·    Software architecting experience. Show us some examples of things you’ve built!

·    Highly iterative, agile and/or rational development. You’re going to be interacting with the end users here, no "heads down" programming!

·    A solid history of managing teams.

·    You’ve got to be good at diagramming and documentation. If you can’t draw a simple ERD, this isn’t the place for you.
