V. P. SAP Solutions Delivery – Memphis, TN

The Vice President of IT Services is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction for the effective delivery of information technology enabled business solutions.  The V.P. provides management direction and leadership regarding business process reengineering and project planning, prioritization and implementation as a global shared service function.  Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the V.P. will be the liaison with executive leadership to identify, prioritize and implement information technology enabled business solutions.  This position will be required to "sell" appropriate best practices in account management, business process requirements analyses, project definition/delivery, organizational change management and project portfolio management  ensuring their cooperation and buy-in.

SKILLS

Business Acumen:  The job holder should possess strong analytical and process management skills and have a broad understanding of group business strategy and operations.  They  must be able to clearly articulate the business value proposition for all IT enabled business solution initiatives. 

REQUIREMENTS

* Bachelor’s degree in business administration or information technology management.

   

* Masters degree in related business management and/or information technology fields preferred.

   

* 10-15+ years of experience in information systems and project management, preferably in regulated medical device industry.

   

* 5-7 years, minimum, working with the SAP projects; full cycle SAP project implementation management a plus.

   

* Demonstrated experience building and fostering executive level relationships with strategic customers.  Ability to manage senior business partner relationships, build trust and credibility, navigate and influence, and negotiate with all levels of the organization, business executives, vendors, and external service providers.

 

* Management experience in large, distributed, global IS organizations a plus.

   

* Professional certification in project and quality management preferred.

Contract PROCESS IMPROVEMENT SPECIALIST

 

POSITION SCOPE:

a. Ensure that all process improvement initiatives follow the appropriate change management and IT work documentation requirements

b. Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements and process re-engineering efforts

c. Implement appropriate measures and controls for all IT processes

d. Develop and deliver written communications as well as make presentations to introduce, educate and update as required

e. Team building and group facilitation, compiling and tracking data and preparing training materials

f. Develop standard metrics, diagramming process workflows (including inputs and outputs) to identify opportunities for improvement

g. Develop project plans for implementing improvements and monitor new processes to ensure they are followed and function as intended

Gov. Rick Perry Has announced $2.45 million in state incentives for a high-tech company to establish its headquarters in Richardson.

Perry announced the Texas Enterprise Fund investment for The Virtual Computing Environment Co. at the Richardson Chamber of Commerce annual meeting on Tuesday.

The project is expected to create "434 high-paying jobs and generate an estimated $35 million in capital investment," according to a press release from the Richardson chamber.

POSITION SCOPE:

Provide JDE EnterpriseOne report programs (UBE’s), business views, work tables, versions, processing option templates and unit test scripts for six custom reports. Work with JDE Business Analysts to understand business/technical requirements. Provide changes and fixes as directed by BA’s during quality assurance (QA) testing. Provide user documentation. Contract IT Procurement Specialist

 

POSITION SCOPE:

IT Procurement Specialist performs key activities in the area of procurement, asset management and supplier strategy, management and governance. The IT Procurement Specialist focuses on the execution of procurement activities, including the administration and oversight of the IT procurement process as well as tactical interactions with suppliers, contract negotiations, asset management processes and supplier governance activities, including measuring and monitoring supplier contracts and renegotiating contracts when necessary. Tracks and enforces service level and operating level agreements (SLAs and OLAs) in standard master services agreements. Maintains an “approved supplier list” and evaluates suppliers when needed to determine sourcing options. Has broad discretion in making tactical decisions and contributes to strategic decision making process. Decisions and achievement of results generally has a significant impact on the group’s overall success. Expected to propose innovative, high-impact changes in processes or strategies. This position is temporary and ends on 6/30/2011.

b. Client reserves the right to extend the contract for additional time, subject to the mutual agreement between client and the supplier.

Are resumes going the way of the Commodore computer? Could be. More than one-third of hiring and employment managers say resumes could be replaced by profiles on social media/business networking sites, according to a recent survey of 500 HR execs from OfficeTeam. And three-quarters of these managers say poor online etiquette can hurt a person’s career prospects. All of which lends some relevance to a new guide to proper use of these networks for professional purposes, released by Robert Half International, OfficeTeam’s parent company. “Etiquette breaches – such as impulsively posting an offensive comment on Facebook or Twitter – can have serious, career-impacting consequences,” says Brett Good, senior district president of Robert Half International. Among the “tech violator” types to avoid are The Venter, who clutters up his or her profile by ranting about pretty much everything, and the Cryptic Communicator, whose profile appears to be assembled out of nothing but coded phrases and obscure acronyms.
